Love just about everything about this backpack - except the #*&^%!!! zippers!!! I've owned JanSport backpacks for DECADES!!! I can't see anything on this one that indicates it's some sort of knock-off, except maybe the zippers. They keep getting snagged in the little "flaps" above them that I think are designed to keep water out. If you are in any way handicapped and can't use more than one hand/arm, you will need to use your toes or something to get into this backpack. Either I have to fold the fabric out of the way or it will take multiple pulls on the zippers to get in. The only zippers that don't give me a hard time are the two tiny pockets that don't have a flap over them. I'm already seeing the flaps getting frayed from all the times the zippers have gotten caught. Oh, well. I'm no longer in the military, so I guess this might be the last backpack I need to buy anyway. But I'm certainly never buying one online again.

This is a good backpack. However I thought it was like another I was replacing after 4 years that has an actual designated zippered pocket for the laptop. The one I have has 3 large compartments. This only has two. Inside one of the large ones is a sleeve to hold a laptop in place. While it’s still functional and will be used, it is not what I had hoped for.

The bag is a great size for my high school student who carries all his binders with him during the day and doesn’t use a locker. I bought him black so it would not show a lot of dirt or stains. When I opened it up, I discovered the lining is white in all pockets. I can see how it could be useful when you are looking for items. However, this bag is for a teenager and I am expecting the liner to look gross in a matter of a day or two. I will keep it because our delivery time was already delayed and his other bag is broken. I trust Jansport as a quality brand but I am not on board with white liners!

This bag is GREAT! I used it for a 4 day trip and it fit everything I needed with the use of compression packing cubes. I brought a packable daypack to use while out and about, then threw it back in this bag when the trip was done. I’m usually an over-packer, so this bag is a game-changer for me. Comfortable and sturdy, fits under the seat on the plane. Definitely a new convert to traveling light after this trip and with this bag.

I've been searching for the ideal weekender for quite a while, and I finally found it in this durable bag. It holds enough for a week-long trip, and fits beneath an airline seat. I love that the main compartment opens like a standard suitcase, making it easy to pack, while the full-length outside pocket is perfect for an iPad, headphones, travel documents, etc. There are three additional pockets: another large one on the inside -- I use it for shoes -- and two more external pockets, suitable for smaller items. (The key here is just enough pockets, not too many, in which articles can get lost).

The Tucano Tugo works well as a backpack with comfortable straps; plus, there are two handles for carrying by hand. I think it will also function nicely on longer international flights as my under-seater, in addition to a larger wheeled bag for checking or overhead storage. Highly recommend!
